Our Programs

Early Learning Programs at Elly@Home are designed keeping in mind all the age-appropriate milestones and work towards effectively accomplishing them. The program will also assist the child in getting accustomed to a structured, stimulating environment of learning and play.

Early Learning Program 1

(Playgroup)

Age:1.5+ (as on 31st May)

Curriculum:

We take care of all the basic skills and concepts of the child with this entry-level program

 
  • Introduction to basic/primary colours and shapes followed by more advanced shapes and colours by means of our ‘Early Concept Books’ and everyday activities.

  • Introduction to Numeracy:  i.e. one-to-one correspondence, counting and numbers from 1-10 with the help of resources such as magnetic numbers, tracing activities and a ‘Mathematics Readiness’ book. 

  • Alphabet knowledge: identification of letters of the alphabet (Capital Letters) with the aid of customized ‘Alphabet reading cards’, magnetic letters and a ‘Reading Readiness’ book.

  • Focus on Language Enrichment mainly concentrating on vocabulary development.

  • Physical development as an important part of the program as it is essential to develop gross-motor and fine-motor skills. Suggested activities that can be carried out indoors/outdoors such as barefoot exploration, ball games, play dough fun and coloring activities etc.

  • Thematic Approach with a new theme every month – eg: All about me (My Body), Animals, Transportation etc. These themes will dictate everyday activities including scrapbook activities.

  • Music and Movement are a great part of this program! We introduce old rhymes and new age rhymes and with dance kids can explore and control their body movements. Along with a Rhymes Book, the Elly Web App (and Companion App) is home to a collection of Rhymes and music.posters.

  • Sorting: learning to sort, classify, and work with objects.

  • Predicting: asking and answering questions.
    Learning to recall and retell stories.

Early Learning Program 2

(Nursery)

Age:2.5+ (as on 31st May)

Curriculum:

Although we start at ELP 1 (Playgroup), a lot of concepts are reintroduced in ELP 2 as a learning reinforcement.We take care of all the basic skills and concepts of the child.

 
  • Introduction to basic/primary colours and shapes followed by more advanced shapes and colours by means of our ‘Early Concept Books’ and everyday activities.

  • Introduction to Numeracy: understanding measurement i.e words describing big/small, long/short etc, sorting, graphing, learning to count and writing and identifying numbers from 1-20 with the help of resources such as Counting Dot Cards, other counting cards that associate numbers with counting and a ‘Mathematics Readiness’ book.

  • Number Sense: recognizing numbers in various arrangements.

  • Alphabet knowledge: recognition of letters of the alphabet (capital Letters & small letters). We also look into formation of letters (writing) and introduce phonic sounds with the aid of Alphabet flashcards, a ‘Reading Readiness’ book, ‘Writing Readiness Book’ and other resources on the Elly Web App.

  • Reading Comprehension: learning vocabulary and sequencing skills while focusing on Language Enrichment.

  • Physical development as an important part of the program as it is essential to develop gross-motor and fine-motor skills. Suggested activities that can be carried out indoors/outdoors such as barefoot exploration, ball games, play dough fun and coloring activities etc.

Here, you have the power of flexibility in teaching but additionally is provided with the aid of a dedicated virtual teacher as a helping hand.

Early Learning Program 3

(Lower Kindergarten)

Age: 3.5+ (as on 31st May)

Curriculum:

This program is designed to expand your child’s development in specific areas by:

  • Helping your child have a strong sense of identity by making them independent,
    Connecting your child with and contributing to their world by learning about their environment, cultures etc,

  • Giving them a strong sense of well-being by involving them in physical activity, learning practice, resilience and being provided with opportunities to strengthen decision-making skills,

  • Making them confident and involved learners and challenge & inspire them to investigate and explore and 

  • Making them effective communicators by immersing and involving them in language with a range of contexts and materials.

  • Shapes and Colours: 3D shapes and colours followed by more advanced shapes through the means of early concept books and everyday activities and games in association with the outside world. 

  • Numeracy: learning to count, writing and identifying numbers from 1-50 with the help of resources such as ‘Mathematics Readiness’, ‘Mathematics Skills and Concept’ books and square line books. Understanding and matching numbers and their concepts.
    Mathematical skills: simple addition and subtraction.

  • Language enrichment mainly concentrating on vocabulary development & early reading skills and using language for meaningful communication.

  • Alphabet Knowledge: recognition of letters of the alphabet (Capital Letters & small letters). We also look into formation of letters (writing) aid of a ‘Writing Readiness Book’, ‘Phonics Activity Book’, Elly Web App, Companion App and red and blue four-line books. 

  • Second language: basic concepts of Hindi such as vocabulary and Swar recognition अ - अ: by means of a 'Reader Book'.

  • Physical development as an integral part of our program as it is essential to develop gross-motor and fine-motor skills. We have suggested activities that can be carried out indoors/outdoors such as simple Yoga exercises and games through the course of the program. 

  • Our approach is thematic. We have a new theme every month – eg: Myself, Seasons, Plants etc. These themes will dictate everyday activities including scrapbook activities.

  • Music and Movement are a great part of this program! We introduce old rhymes and new age rhymes and with dance kids and explore and control their body movements. Along with a Rhymes Book, the Elly Web App and Companion App is home to a collection of Rhymes and music.

  • Recall and retell: Refining story retelling skills.

  • Motor skills: Developing small and large muscles purpose and control.

Early Learning Program 4

(Upper Kindergarten)

Age: 4.5+ (as on 31st May)

Curriculum:

ELP 4 is the upper kindergarten program (also commonly known as UKG). Our ELP 4 program is designed to expand your child’s development in specific areas by:

  • Helping your child have a strong sense of identity by making them independent,

  • Connecting your child with and contributing to their world by learning about their environment, cultures etc,

  • Giving them a strong sense of well-being by involving them in physical activity, learning practice, resilience and being provided with opportunities to strengthen decision-making skills,

  • Making them confident and involved learners and challenge & inspire them to investigate and explore,

  • Making them effective communicators by are immersing and involving them in language with a range of contexts and materials.

  • We attempt to reinforce words describing big/small, long/short, near/far, up/down etc, your child will learn to count, write and identify numbers from 1-50 with the help of resources such as ‘Mathematics Readiness’, ‘Mathematics Skills and Concept’ books, square line books and various practice worksheets. We also introduce advanced addition and subtraction (using number line, objects etc).

  • We focus on language enrichment mainly concentrating on vocabulary development, early reading skills & sight words. We also look into formation of letters (writing) and also provide optional cursive writing; all this with the aid of a ‘Writing Readiness Book’, ‘Phonics Activity Book’, Elly Web App & Companion App and red and blue four-line books. We also introduce Hindi as a second language to the child by touching basic concepts such as vocabulary and Swar recognition अ - अ:,Varnamala recognition, songs, rhymes and story telling by means of a 'Reader Book'and a 'Hindi Alpabet Writing Book'.

  • We have also incorporated physical development as an integral part of our program as it is essential to develop gross-motor and fine-motor skills. We have suggested activities that can be carried out indoors/outdoors such as simple Yoga exercises and various games. We also have play dough fun, tracing activities and coloring activities that are included. We also make it a point to reinforce life-skills such as washing hands, buttoning, learning to pour, toy washing, making a snack etc.

  • Our approach is thematic. We have a new theme every month – eg: Action words, feelings, seasonal clothes etc. We also provide an Interleaf book - To allow the kids to form words and simple sentences, sticking pictures mapped to the theme and provide them with practice worksheets. These themes will dictate everyday activities including scrapbook activities that allow kids to get creative whilst creating memories!

  • Music and Movement are a great part of this program! We introduce old rhymes and new age rhymes and with dance kids and explore and control their body movements. Along with a Rhymes Book, the Elly Web App and Companion App is home to a collection of Rhymes and music to keep your child moovy & groovy!

  • In addition to this, we have some fun resources which we believe are essential including posters (eg: an ‘All About Me’ poster that will a picture of your child, family tree, hobbies and other fun things), Elly Web App, Companion App and podcasts (stories that your child can listen to). We have some creative fun activities such as free-hand drawing and arts and craft that is a part of the program where we also provide a Drawing book and an Art Cart book.
